Whether you ride GVT or not, all of Girdwood benefits from the service we provide. GVT provides a safe, reliable and free public transportation option to residents and visitors of Girdwood. GVT brings residents and visitors to local retailers, restaurants, services and trails. Community investment in public transit is beneficial as it promotes greater mobility and economic activity. Transportation studies show that for every dollar invested in public transit, five dollars are returned to the community in economic benefits and saved costs.

Consider making a donation to Glacier Valley Transit, Girdwood’s free public transportation system. Donations of any amount are appreciated. GVT is a 501(c) 3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.

Become a Sponsor

Approximately 95,000 passengers ride our buses annually. GVT relies on sponsorship from individuals and businesses in order to continue to provide free and reliable public transportation to those riders.

GVT is a private, nonprofit 501c (3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.

$500+ Sponsorship Level
Sponsors who donate $500 or more will have a 11” x 17” sign with their logo installed in each GVT bus for one year. GVT will purchase and install the signs once the artwork has been approved. A logo with a link to their website will also be added to the “Supporting Glacier Valley Transit” page of the GVT website for one year.
